Szabolcs & Maggie Bella
Szabi came to Christ at 16 years of age, through a youth group led by another JV missionary. Since then, he has felt called to lead other young people to Christ, so that they can experience the light God brings into the darkness of this world.
Maggie felt the call to ministry after going to Hungary for the first time in 2019, where she spent 3 months serving as an intern in 2022. She felt a strong desire to bring young people into the family of Christ, where they can feel loved and rooted in the Lord.
Szabi and Maggie met in 2019, when Maggie went on a short term trip to Hungary. They got married in Wisconsin, in July 2023, and moved back to Győr, Hungary 6 weeks later.
Currently, Szabi and Maggie are living in Győr, leading the same youth group where Szabi came to Christ. They are in the process of joining Josiah Venture full-time, and are eagerly anticipating doing so by spring 2025.
Along with discipling the young people in the local youth group, Szabi will be coordinating summer camps across the country, as well as mentoring and training youth leaders in their region. Maggie, apart from discipling the girls in the youth group, will be the key events coordinator, organizing camps, workshops, and trainings, and she will also be taking on the role as the admin for the EDGE ministry in Hungary.
Szabi and Maggie are so grateful to be serving in Hungary, and are excited to see the Lord work in amazing ways among the youth.
